The Ondo State Development and Property Corporation is the amalgam of the former Ondo State Housing Corporation and Capital and Urban Development (CUDA)in 2003. The Corporation was established by a law of Ondo State House of Assembly signed on 13th of September 2004.

 

The Corporation was empowered by the law to perform a multiplicity of functions earlier performed by the Capital and Urban Development Authority and the Housing Corporation.

These are:
  • To acquire, develop, manage, sell, mortgage and lease landed properties for residential, commercial, industrial and other purposes.
  • To provide shelter on a commercial and social basis
  • To develop and supervise the maintenance of the state capital and other urban centers in the State

 

Administrative structure: The Administration has its main office along Ado-Owo Road. It is structured into five departments namely: Finance and Administration

  • Estate
  • Physical Planning
  • Land Survey
  • Works and Services
    Also, there are three statutory unit viz:
  • Internal Audit
  • Public Relations and
  • Legal Units

The corporation operates within two levels of decision making and implementation, namely the board of Directors and the management. While the Board is saddled with the responsibility of evolving policies to globally guide the corporation, the management is to see to the day to day implementation of policies.

The Organization has a crop of seasoned professionals in the construction field ranging from licensed Land Surveyors, Registered Estate surveyors and Valuers, Tow Planners, Engineers, Builders, Quantity Surveyors and Architects.
